1.
Literally "fuck with me," used to ask or state whether someone rocks with you, trusts you, respects you, or is willing to engage with you — as a friend, a romantic interest, or an ally. Depending on tone it can be an invitation ("you FWM?" = are you down to talk to me/hang with me), a declaration of loyalty or approval ("I fwm you heavy" = I really trust/support you), or a warning about testing someone's boundaries ("don't fwm" = don't mess with me/don't test me).
If I die tomorrow fwm the same way u did yesterday.
Origin & Attribution
The root phrase "fuck with" meaning to like, trust, vibe with, or accept someone has circulated in Black American vernacular and hip-hop lyricism since at least the 1990s, long before it was clipped to the initialism FWM in 2010s text and social-media culture. Outside dictionaries that file FWM under generic "internet slang" or "texting slang" obscure that the underlying expression is rooted in African American Vernacular English and hip-hop speech, where it has long carried meanings of trust and loyalty rather than literal aggression.
